Endurance, identity, and temporality: the ethnic labor market and labor process of Chinese migrant workers in France

Yong LI est postdoctorant au Centre d’études de l’emploi et du travail (CEET-CNAM) et membre du laboratoire LISE (UMR 3320). Ses travaux de recherche actuels s’inscrivent dans plusieurs thématiques : les parcours de vie des migrants chinois qualifiés en France et leurs mobilités transnationales ; les carrières professionnelles des minorités racisées en France et leur expérience des discriminations ; la production empirique des connaissances sociologiques désoccidentalisées en France et en Chine.

Yong LI is a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Employment and Labor Studies (CEET-CNAM) and a member of the LISE laboratory (UMR 3320). His current researches fall under several themes: the life-course of qualified Chinese migrants in France and their transnational mobility; the professional careers of racialized minorities in France and their experiences of discrimination; the empirical production of de-westernized sociological knowledge in France and in China.

李永是法国国立工艺大学“劳动与职业研究中心”(CEET-CNAM)博士后研究员， “跨学科经济社会学实验室”成员(LISE, UMR 3320)。他当前的研究涉及的主题包括：中国职业移民在法国的人生轨迹和跨国流动；法国少数族裔的职业生涯和受歧视经历；基于经验研究的去西方化社会学知识生产。

Docteure en science politique/relations internationales (Sciences Po Paris, 2006), Hélène Le Bail est aussi diplômée en langue et civilisation chinoises (INALCO). Elle a passé de nombreuses années au Japon, comme doctorante à l’université Hitotsubashi, post-doctorante à l’université Waseda, puis pendant trois années en tant que chargée de chercheure à la Maison franco-japonaise (CNRS-MAEE). Elle est depuis 2015 chargée de recherche au CNRS au sein du Centre de recherches internationales (CERI) de sciences Po Paris.
Ses travaux portent sur les migrations chinoises au Japon et en France ainsi que sur les politiques migratoires dans une perspective comparée. Un intérêt plus particulier est porté aux routes migratoires féminines (mariage, travail reproductif et travail du sexe), ainsi qu’aux questions de mobilisation et d’action collective.

Hélène Le Bail is a research fellow at CNRS and Sciences Po – CERI (Centre de recherches internationales) since 2015. She holds a Ph.D in political science from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and a master degree in Chinese studies from INALCO (National Institute for Eastern Languages and Cultures). She spent many years in Japan as a Ph.D student (Hitotsubashi University), as a post-doc (Waseda University), and more recently as a research fellow for the French research center on contemporary Japan, Maison franco-japonaise (Nichifutsu kaikan), Tokyo.
Her research focuses on Chinese migrations (to Japan and France) and on migration policies in a comparative approach. Special focus is made on female routes of migration (marriage, reproductive labour, sex work) and on mobilization and collective actions.

2015年成为法国国家科学研究院和巴黎政治学院的国际研究所研究员，持有巴黎政治学院政治学博士学位，以及法国国立东方语言文化学院中国研究硕士学位。她有多年日本生活经历，曾在博士和博士后期间，分别前往日本一桥大学和早稻田大学进行深造。不久前，她还作为研究员前往东京日仏会馆，参与法国研究中心的当代日本项目。
她的研究内容主要包括：中国移民（在日本和法国）以及移民政策的比较研究，特别是女性移民方式（婚姻，生育劳动，性工作），以及动员、集体行动。
